Nomadic community gardens (NCG) is a not for profit community project, located in Brick Lane, East London.
What was once a space in ruins, a group of volunteers have transformed over the past few years in a magic secret space. When you get inside you will find a garden full of sculptures, buildings made from wood and found materials, street art, organic vegetables and herbs, bees and so many other objects that will attract your attention for sure, it’ s truly unique.
Nomadic Community Gardens: Our goal is to build “third places” (home and work being the first and second) that serve as vital points of social interaction and community building. These spaces are important not only for biodiversity, but social and cultural diversity as well. By creating mobile vegetables beds, modular furniture, and transportable art pieces, we are able to transfer both the structures and the ethos of the garden to vacant sites around the city.
I went last Sunday, after I visited Brick Lane Market. It always amaze me, every time I go I discover new stuff and new street art!
If you are around Shoreditch, Bethnal Green, Aldgate East,… I will recommend you to visit it, don’ t miss it!

Nomadic community gardens (NCG) es un proyecto comunitario sin fines de lucro, ubicado en Brick Lane, East London.
Lo que una vez fue un espacio en ruinas, un grupo de voluntarios lo han transformado estos últimos años en un espacio mágico. Cuando entres, encontrarás un jardín lleno de esculturas, habitáculos hechos de madera y materiales encontrados, arte callejero, verduras y hierbas orgánicas, abejas y muchos otros objetos que atraerán tu atención, porque son verdaderamente únicos.
Nomadic Community Gardens: Nuestro objetivo es construir «terceros lugares» (el hogar y el trabajo es el primero y el segundo) que sirven como puntos vitales para la interacción social y la construcción de la comunidad. Estos espacios son importantes no solo para la biodiversidad, sino también para la diversidad social y cultural. Mediante la creación de camas de verduras móviles, muebles modulares y piezas de arte transportables, podemos transferir tanto las estructuras como el espíritu del jardín a los sitios vacíos de la ciudad.
Fui el domingo pasado, después de visitar el mercado de Brick Lane. Siempre me sorprende, cada vez que voy descubro cosas nuevas y nuevas piezas de arte plasmadas en las paredes.
